Caroline is a long-time Steamboat Springs resident, having moved here in 1991. She grew up north of Chicago, lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for six years and then moved to Eugene, Oregon, where she received her B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications with a minor in English from the University of Oregon. She realized that the state of Colorado, where she spent most childhood vacations, was the place she wanted to call home. Steamboat is where Caroline met and married her husband, Oliver, and they purchased their first home. Together they opened and operated Caroline’s Bed and Breakfast, one of the finer B&B’s in Steamboat Springs, closing it when their children (first a daughter and then a son) took over the guest rooms.

Since Caroline has been old enough to work, she has been employed within the tourism industry. Her first experience was working in the reservations department of her father’s rental management company in Aspen. Since then, Caroline has been a bartender, waiter, caterer, innkeeper and most recently event planner / wedding coordinator.
